The baby's asleep, the husband's playing his video game, and I have a brand-new computer to play with! I can now blog again to my heart's content...except that, having been sick all week, not much has gone on here in the Charmed household. So I've decided to create my own meme and see if I can spread it as fast as the latest cold/flu combo meal is being passed around. The song I'm currently listening to is Michael Buble's "You Don't Know Me", and it makes me think, how well do the people in our lives really know us? Like an Impressionist painting, sometimes figuring out what the picture is about depends on where you're standing. Without further ado...The Near...Far!!! Meme.
Someone looking down at you from a balcony will notice: I part my hair on the right.
Someone seeing you from across a parking lot will see: That I have forgotten where I put my car.
Someone seeing you for the first time will notice: My very curly hair or, uhh, dddecolletage. Depending on one's persuasion and/or the relative humidity.
Someone shaking your hand will notice: a firm, not-sissy grip and an embarrassing lack of manicure.
Someone walking behind you would notice: I walk a little funny because I was born with club feet. And I take very long strides.
Someone meeting you at a party would see: Me in a corner, telling jokes, and nursing one drink for the entire evening.
Someone looking into your eyes would notice: the dark blue ring around my irises. My daughter has them, too. Or the twitch underneath my left eye. That one, she gave to me.
Someone listening to you talk would hear: Tonight? Not much I'm afraid, I've lost my voice. Boy, that had better not be applause I hear...
Someone who's just met you might think: That I am pretty sweet and very funny.
Someone who's known you a long time knows: That I am very sweet, pretty funny, have an extremely off-color sense of humor and I can verbally shred someone to pieces faster than a speeding piranha. But, you know, don't mess with me, and it's all good ;)
Here goes my first tag: Amalah, Jo, Cecily, Yvonne, and Teri.
Psst... guess who! ;) I might even blog this week!
